Re: [chottala.com] Warm Wishes sonar digital Bangladesh

Mrs. Dina Khan,

Misunderstanding Mujib
---------------------------------
With Bengali nationalist fervor, the grown up Mujibbadis are helping us to misunderstand Mujib.
Additionally, it is futile to inform hero-worshippers; for hero-worshipping is a social disease. See the AL followers making Mujib "the great democrat, the great Bengali of all times." The archetect of Bangladesh.  In reality Mujib was the killer of infant democracy in Bangladesh! He was in Pakistan during the entire liberation war.
Abul Mansur Ahmad, the father of the daily Star's Mahfuz Anam observed Mujib in March 1971 "At this I realized that Sheikh (Mujib) had not only made a wrong move he also had stepped in the trap laid by Yahya and Butto." Referring to Mujib's confusing moves, Mansur Ahmad says, "I did not understand Mujib then, I do not understand him now."
Mansur Ahmad narrates further: "Sheikh Mujib surrendered without resistance. He did not try to escape nor hide himself." Ahmad questioned "Is this the way the leader of a people fight against opposition?"

True, there is so much distortation about Mujib and his post liberation period called his "Golden Bangla"when the "man-made famine" (Amartya Sen) took over 100,000 lives. Such distortation through propaganda takes place only in a fascist system.

"It is 2011 and after 40 years of Bangladesh's liberation war, it is still a time for reflection about the bloody events of the month of March 1971's stormy days and the after events. As we trace the missing pieces to reconstruct history, the clock ticks away moving Bangladesh in both directions, past and future. For partisan politicians claiming the sole ownership of Bangladesh in favor of Mujib, it seems everything was predetermined and settled in favor of Awami League and the appointed court judges who are now giving history its final touches but for historians concerned about epistemology and its child called knowledge about Bangladesh history, surely the chapter is not yet closed." (Abid Bahar,The Bloody Month of March 1971: From the End of a United Pakistan to the Beginning of Bangladesh )

Dear Mr Mannan

Thank you for your constructive column in Daily Janakantha(April 10)

How can you hope  from AL leaders? Why do you feel shame?

They (AL LEADERS) have destroyed  education  in school college universities  by doing teachers students  nasty party politics. They  had destroyed all mill industries after libaration  of Bangladesh.

They have destroyed share market during 1996 term and have destroyed share market  during this  2008 term.and also are going to destroy The Grameen Bank to create labor koli driver daruawan cleaner to export in Pakistan and India.

They  do not create skilled  educated persons to provide them jobs in Bangladesh and to send in abroad  skilled professional  educated persons.

Really the political leaders in Bangladesh are doing poly-tricks for their own poket money and power for money by looting public property destroying mill industry destroying Gramin Bank destroying education for creating jobless brain less people to import them as labour house bowa cleaner  daruawan driver in Pakistan Sawdia and abroad and India. and calling sonar digital Bangladesh
