Re: [chottala.com] Mockery of the Bengladeshis

Continuation of a Familiar Tradition: Hasina Removes Everybody before she Qualifies herself to be Removed!
Abid Bahar
Removing Dr. Yonus from Gramin Bank is not an isolated act by Hasina. Strange but true, Hasina lately removed Mawlana Bhasani's name from the Bhasani Novo theatre and Bhasani Medical college (Bhasani was the national leader who in 1969 through the mass uprising saved Sheikh Mujib's life) and she renamed them after her father and Captain Monsur Ali. She removed Mahmudur Rahman from Amerdesh news paper as the editor for writing against her and put him on remand. Hasina also fights with shadow of the former Bangladesh President Ziaur Rahman; the founder of the BNP and removed his name from airport to everyother place names. She removed the former PM Khalida Zia from her home even before the court order with the use of force. Now she removed Dr. Yonus from Gramin Bank. Surprisingly, she appoints vandals, murder convicts or people accused of murder in High Court and other appoinments. Very rare in modern countries (please Google search "AL appoints murderers and vandals" for details) True, in all this, Hasina's principle is "For my friends, anything; for my enemies, the law!"(Hasina is serving the family and her party interest over the state, and she promotes hero-worshipping which are the salient characteristics of fascism). A deeper understanding of the Sheikhs rule shows, this is a continuation of a tradition in the Sheikh dynesty.
It is true, Hasina is not a statesperson but a woman who was once a housewife turned politician only after her father's assasination (for founding the BKSAL one party rule.) Historians find similar type of hyperactivism in Sheikh Mujib's post liberation leadership with his sons and nephews, his Mujibbadi cadres, the Rakkhi bahini killings of the opposition members and Chatro League exploitation that finally led to the 1974 man-made famine (Amartya Sen) leading Bangladesh into "the bottomless basket case."
Particularly, it was Mujib's killing of Bangladesh's infant democracy by imposing BKSAL and his three years of "misrule" that the Majors often justify him required to be removed. We also read the Italian journalist Fallacy who interviewed Mujib (Fallacy became famous for interviewing dictators) here to understand how Mujib's bullying mind worked. It appears that Hasina's is the continuation of the "fascist spirit" in the Sheikh dynesty!

Many historians find it unfortunate that Mujib the BKSAL autocrat and an absentee leader during the entire war continues to be propagated by mostly the hero-worshipping ALs as a great democrat and the greatest leader of all times (promotes him like they do to their so-called"great leader" in North Korea) In Bangladesh ALs also continue to recognize Sheikh Mujib as the only founding father of Bangladesh; unfortunately this symbol is used for a nation that has been striving to become a modern democratic country. Hasina not dealing with the more urgent issue of catching the thieves of the Stock crush, urgently removes Dr. Yonus which seems more about "empire strikes back," the tradition of "evil" Sheikh dynasty empire.
Although many ALs in Mujib's rule (1972-75), while appreciated Sheikh Mujib's great contributions before the war but leaders like Bhasani and many others seriously challenged his one party dictatorial rule, shamelessly, today no AL dares to challenge Hasina, the trained housewife's meanspirited bullying! Following the contemporary developments, it seems like Hasina first removes everybody and annoys every quarter including the USA before she qualifies herself to be removed. We very much hope this time it would be peaceful.

Now the mainstrem media in the West is making a mockery of the Bengaladeshis - it is no more that the PM had made a 'jack ass' of herself of "Hingsha".....she is now pulling down the image of everything associated with Bangladesh outside the country. Sorry for our luck!!

BTW, her US educated son had joined the fray! wondering how his 'gravey train' is linked to all this!
