Not true for USA, UK and about 80 other countries that hold democratic elections.
Few countries use the "Two-round system", where the Presidential system exist and
the President is elected directly by the voters.
 
USA has Presidential form of Government but 50% law does not apply ....
 
In UK Parliament members are elected through "one-time voting" [quite a
few Parliament members are elected by getting less than 50 % of the vote].
and there is no second round votings.
 
The same is in Canada where the FPTP [First past the post ] system is used for
the House of Commons.
 
Most civilized country does not need a CTG  for holding their elections ...
The history of Bangladesh has shown that even a Justice does not follow the rule
of justice. In 2006, the  then CEC Justice M.A. Aziz defied HC rule and continued
to do whatever he wants. Behind the scene he had the full support of ruling BNP-Jamaat
 jote [2006]. Justice Aziz's  voter list contained about one crore fake voters which was
later cleaned ....
 
One of the interesting contitutional innovations of recent times is the Bangladeshi
Non-party caretaker government. However, in October 2006, then Bangladeshi President Iajuddin Ahmed was sworn in as the head of the CTG that was supposed to oversee
national elections in January 2007 [definitely with the full intentions of rigging the election
wih Justice M.A. Aziz at helm of Election commission]..... The rest is history ,
 
What happens to the CTG system is matter of future political developement...there
is no serious discussions on this issue is a matter of as yet.
 
In any case, the "Iajuddin-Marka CTG" is also undesirable .....

Good idea. You have points, but totally irrelevant in the context of current
discussion ...
 
Do you or any one raised this question, when Khaleda Zia was in power or
when one crore+ false voters were shown by CEC Aziz's electorial rolls
(which was later cleaned up by the election commission during last CTG's
time). Has BNP or Jamaate Islami raised the issue ever or even thinking
your terms ....
 
The cuuent system of elections in Bangladesh is  a defecto "agreed upon"
system ... raising any question about the past electon is effect a
special variety of "Grapes Are Sour" attitude ....
 
BTW, according to your Mao Tse  Tung the "Bourgeois democracy" is a
farce .
 
Let us no get into those kinds of debates now ....

BTW, Hasina is not my personal Netri  ....  She is an elected PM of
Bangladesh and  has been chosen by the people of  Bangladesh through 
a democratically elected parliament....
 
At the present time Hasina Sheikh is the Leader of the country and
a sumbol of our national unity .... Considering the Socio-political
environment, she is the best available alternative at this time of the
histrory of our nation .....
This time BAL has the mandate for the Trials of the War Criminal
and Al-bodor death squad organizers (1971) ...... If BAL fails to do that
our nation will never forgive them ..... So far so good .... the history is
moving forward ....

Why someone has to know the address and profession of a group
member ..... Anything beyond whatever is there in the group profile

BTW, I understood from one of the fellow bloggers that Jamaate
Islami has never disbanded it's Al-bodor death squads which still
remains as an underground organization .... He assured me that my
name is not on the list ....
 
But, friends, you never know.........
Jamaate Islami may decide to repeat it's  hidden program of 
anihilation of "Indian agents" at an optimum moment ...

I remember once I asked about his real name but he thought I was asking about his address in the Sonar Bangla. But I know one thing about this person that he has some strange Pakistani background, ( he could be a stranded Bengali!)

Syed Aslam (who claims to be a great observer of many things and people (Madam Zia etc) and the giver of his type of good advice for people to become broad-minded, please ask him who he is. Instead of observing others, I want him to observe himself inside (conscience) and outside if he is a man/woman/child/ adolescent and why he cheats people by hiding the simple thing, his name; his identity. For the lack of his real identity he could be anything, starting from a shameless person, a lier, a blind fascist.. a full time paid Indian agent...the list goes on.

He should tell us his identity so that we can varify whether he is a saint or a criminal that we are communicating with) and we can relate his position in society with the gravity of his advice. In this context, I am sure I am not asking too much. After our repeated request, when he hides his identity, I am sure there is something wrong about him; he could be a former Chatro Leaguer, a rapist, or even a dangerous criminal madam Zia put in jail. I am sure we wouldn't need advice from such a person.

In my record he used two names on the Notun Bangladesh correspondence. When we continue to request him to give his real name, not a ghost name, he didn't and I think he still doesn't get it why.

It got to be that he depends on this sort of mean spirited job for his family's survival. When we remind him this,I find him shamelessly even getting angry to defend his false pretences. but I wonder why?
