Musa Ibrahim is the first Bangladeshi to reach the peak of Everest.

He is not first Bangalee or the first Muslim to reach the Peak of Everest.

Here is a list of Bangalees who reached the top of Everest:
Two mountaineers from West Bengal have summited the world's highest peak -
Mount Everest this year [2010] 
Basanta Singha Roy, 47, and Debasish Biswas, 37, scaled the 8,848-metre peak
Monday, becoming the first two people from the West Bengal  to achieve the feat

Satyabrata Dam reached the peak in 2004 while Sipra Majumdar replicated
the success a year later, but both were part of army expeditions.

Dear chottala readers,

Musa Ibrahim of Bangladesh became successful in his mission reaching the peak of Everest (Himalya). We the Bangladeshi really proud of his achieving this goal. Our great poet Kabi Guru Rabindranath Tagore once told in one of his poem

"সাত কোটি বাঙ্গালীরে হে মুগদ্ব জননী রেখেছ বাঙ্গালী করে মানু্ষ করনি".

If he would be alive to-day he would definitely withdraw his that word. In this regard two questions came to my mind. If any of my learned friends in this chottala group can throw some light about this I will be happy.  

     1)    Is he the first Bengali who step his foot on the top of Everest?

     2)    Is he the first Muslim in the world who became successful in reaching the

          highest  peak in  the world?

     Dowllah.
