I am informing you with a heavy heart that Jaheda Apa, sister of Ustad Hamid Hussain of Baltimore Maryland, a renowned artist and music teacher of Washington metro area passed away at Holy Cross Hospital in Maryland. She was suffering from cancer for the last few years; she has left behind three extraordinary daughters, a husband, and thousands of well-wishers in north America, India, and her native Bangladesh. She was an extraordinary woman with many talents. Me, Asif, Shafiq and Jostna will sorely miss her love, friendship, and extra-ordinary company as long as we live. May Allah grant her family the extra-ordinary courage and strength to face this tragic death. Her Namazay Jannazaa will be held on Saturday, after the Zoher Prayer at the MCC on Newhampshire Ave in Silver Spring Maryland.
