The martyred intellectuals: The systematically killings of country'sprominent intellectuals in December 1971 was the sole act of Jamaate Islami'sGestapo wing Al-bodor militia with present Jamaat Ameer Matiur Rahman Nizamiat the helm. Nizami was the president of Islami Chhatra Shangha, and also thecommander-in-chief of Al-Badr. The Islami Chhatra Shangha's hand was so muchtainted with blood that when resurfaced in late seventees, it changed it's name toSibir.

সাদেকুর রহমান : আজ শুক্রবার ১১ ডিসেম্বর। ১৯৭১ সালের এ দিনও বিভিন্ন স্থানে মুক্তিবাহিনী ও হানাদার বাহিনীর মধ্যে সম্মুখ সমর চলে। তবে পাকিস্তানী বাহিনীর আত্মসমর্পণের খবরে স্বাধীনতাকামী এ দেশবাসীর মনে বিজয়ের আশা-প্রত্যাশা বহুগুণে বেড়ে যায়। স্বাধীনতা লাভ প্রশ্নে যে সংশয়, কালোমেঘ দেখা দিয়েছিল তা ধীরে ধীরে কেটে যাচ্ছে।
এদিন জামালপুর থেকে আগত ভারতীয় সেনাবাহিনীর ১০১ কমিউনিকেশন জোন টাঙ্গাইলের মুক্তি বাহিনীর সক্রিয় সমর্থন ও সহযোগিতায় সামনের দিকে অগ্রসর হওয়ার সুযোগ পেয়েছিল। যৌথ বাহিনীর এই অংশটিই প্রথম ঢাকায় প্রবেশ করেছিলো। ১৬ ডিসেম্বর পাকিস্তানী বাহিনীর আত্মসমর্পণের ঘটনায় এই দলের ভূমিকা ছিল প্রধান। জামালপুর পতনের পর টাঙ্গাইলে অবস্থানরত পাক সেনারা শহর ছাড়তে শুরু করে। ঢাকা আসার পর সেদিন প্রায় ৪ হাজার পাকিস্তানী সেনা মুক্তিবাহিনীর হাতে গ্রেফতার হয়েছিল।
একাত্তরের ১১ ডিসেম্বর ভারতীয় বিমান বাহিনী ঢাকায় কোন হামলা চালায়নি। বিদেশী যাত্রীদের সুবিধার্থে তেজগাঁও বিমানবন্দরে মেরামত ও যাত্রীদের সুযোগ-সুবিধা দেয়া হয়। পাকিস্তানী সেনাদের ওপর ঢাকা ত্যাগের ব্যাপারে নিষেধাজ্ঞা ছিল। এদিন পূর্ব পাকিস্তানের গবর্নর ডাঃ এমএ মালিক জাতিসংঘ মহাসচিবের হস্তক্ষেপ কামনা করে যে বার্তা পাঠিয়েছিলেন তাতে বলা হয়েছিল পাকিস্তানী প্রেসিডেন্টের কাছে ক্ষমতাপ্রাপ্ত হয়ে শান্তিপূর্ণভাবে ঢাকায় সরকার গঠনের জন্য নির্বাচিত প্রতিনিধিদের প্রতি আহবান জানাচ্ছি। কিন্তু পরিস্থিতির কারণে এ আহবান কোনো কাজে আসেনি। পাকিস্তানী সেনাদের সামনে একটি উপায় ছিল আত্মসমর্পণ করা।
একাত্তরের আজকের দিনে অন্য এলাকার মতো জামালপুর, রায়পুরা (নরসিংদী), নড়াইল, কুষ্টিয়া, মনিরামপুর (যশোর), শিবগঞ্জ (চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জ), পীরগাছা (রংপুর), টাঙ্গাইল, মুন্সীগঞ্জ, লাকসাম (কুমিল্লা), হাকিমপুর (দিনাজপুর) ও নান্দাইল (মোমেনশাহী) শত্রুমুক্ত হয়েছিল। স্বাধীনতা যুদ্ধের চূড়ান্ত সময়ে টাঙ্গাইল শহরের মুক্তি অর্জন ছিল খুবই তাৎপর্যপূর্ণ ঘটনা। কেননা টাঙ্গাইল শহর মুক্ত করার মধ্য দিয়ে ঢাকা মুক্ত করার এবং চূড়ান্ত বিজয় অর্জনের পথ খুলে গিয়েছিল। বাংলাদেশের দিগন্তে স্বাধীনতার উজ্জ্বল সূর্য উদয়ের পথ সুগম ও সুনিশ্চিত হয়েছিল।বিজয়ের মাস ডিসেম্বর

স্টাফ রিপোর্টার : আজ সোমবার ১৪ ডিসেম্বর। আন্দোলন মুখর একাত্তরের এদিন পর্যন্ত বাংলাদেশের অধিকাংশ এলাকা মুক্ত হলেও সবার দৃষ্টি ছিল ঢাকার দিকে। অন্যদিকে, বিজয় লাভের চূড়ান্ত পর্যায়ে স্বনামধন্য বুদ্ধিজীবীদের হত্যা করে এ দেশের সাংস্কৃতিক, বুদ্ধিবৃত্তিক চর্চার পথ চিরতরে রুদ্ধ করার গভীর ষড়যন্ত্রের জাল বোনা হয়েছিল।
১৯৭১ সালের এদিন কাদেরিয়া বাহিনীসহ ভারতীয় ১০১ কমিউনিকেশনের একটি অংশ গাজীপুর জেলার শফিপুরের মৌচাকে পরাজিত করে পাক বাহিনীকে। যৌথবাহিনীর জন্য দলটি সেদিন সাভার নবীনগরের বিকল্প পথ ধরে ঢাকার দিকে অগ্রসর হয়েছিল।
নবীনগরে ঢাকা-যশোর সংযোগস্থলে আসার পর যৌথ বাহিনী পাকিস্তানী বাহিনীকে আক্রমণ করেছিল। যৌথবাহিনীর একটি অংশ ১৫ ডিসেম্বর মিরপুর পর্যন্ত পৌঁছে গিয়েছিল। পাকিস্তানী প্রেসিডেন্ট ইয়াহিয়া খান ১৪ ডিসেম্বর লে. জেনারেল এ কে নিয়াজীকে আত্মসমর্পণ করার জন্য অনুমতি দিয়েছিলেন। এরপর নিয়াজী ঢাকায় অবস্থানরত মার্কিন কনসাল জেনারেলের সাথে দেখা করে শুধু বার্তাটুকুই পৌঁছাতে পেরেছিলেন। বার্তায় আত্মসমর্পণের আয়োজনের কথা উল্লেখ ছিল।
চূড়ান্ত বিজয়ের আগে ঢাকায় খ্যাতিমান যশস্বী অসংখ্য বুদ্ধিজীবীকে হত্যা করা হয়। এ শোকাবহ ঘটনার জন্য ১৪ ডিসেম্বর শহীদ বুদ্ধিজীবী দিবস। একাত্তরে ডিসেম্বরের চতুর্দশ দিবসে হানাদার মুক্ত হয় জয়পুরহাটের পাঁচবিবি, চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জ, যশোরের কেশবপুর, চট্টগ্রামের দোহাজারীসহhttp://www.dailysangram.net/news_details.php?news_id=21606
