[FutureOfBangladesh] Re: [Dahuk]: Some food for thought-'I AM A COMPETE NEUTRAL PERSON'

Bhai Enayet,

You are NOT getting my point.  The purpose of this study was NOT to show who is great or not.  And there was NO pilitical intention behind this,  this was a complete professional job.

I think fact is far different than what some people publicize and rumor.

If I really want to compare,  these numbers show the actual situation and I do NOT have to add any comment.

Mr Abul:

Your food for thought does not really make sense by citing the examples you have provided. In economics terms, the price of rice in 1972 vs 1975 does not really matter.

Any progress of the society is judged by people's buying competency (considering inflation, global impact), not by the price!

A progress also measured by the social justice, social development index, employment rate, law and order etc.

There is a major policy difference between Mujib's policy comparing Zia's. Zia was more geared to progress the country for economical benefit, thus BNP.

Mujib was more interested to have an absolute power and was more of a idological bufoon, socialism was his mantra.

Mujib was a great leader, Zia was a great visionary.

I adore Mujib, but I dislike his governance and abuse of power.

Lets accept the differences!

Bhai Mohd. Haque,

Assalamualaikum and thanks for your great thoughts.

By NEUTRALITY what I mean is, I am not biased to any political party in BD.  All of them have done some good and bad things, in fact I have a mixed feeling about all of them.

I did some research about 72~75 Government and found the following data (that I shared in my e-mail bellow).  This was done in a completely professional manner (NOT for political reasons).  The problem is some people reacted to this e-mail very personally (I am not sure about their political stand, but seems like they are pro BNP, Jamaat).

The reason I shared this data is as follows, if anybody can show me that this data is false or there is any thing else that I should take a look into, I will be more than happy to accept that.  But none of the opponents of this e-mail show ANY number/logic, they just procrastinated by name calling !!!

Can't we go beyond our political bias just for once and think logically??? ?

Thanks and best regards.

Now a days people, with pride perhaps, like to attach their own testimony that 'he is a completely neutral person'. This should have been the result of the utter failure of our leaders and many, cunningly trying to disassociate themselves with their (leader's) political myth and fantasy. But testifying this is a utter lie.

The environment we live in and the culture that is being made into our mindset, none of us can practically disconnect from the streams that flows through.

You should be proud of being a supporter of AL, BNP, Jamaat, JP or even Sarbahara. We all are different, that is only natural. Bhashani, Sheikh Mujib, Ziaur Rahman, Siraj Sikdar, Abdul Haq, Amol Sen, for your own reason you can support any of them and dream of a Bangladesh of your making through your mentor's philosophy. They are all Bangladeshi, sons of the soil.

Beside their good works and wisdom, being a human they had their limitation too and made many mistakes. Their good works gave us hope and their bad works or wrong decisions made us to suffer. What is needed as an independent person (and I strongly urge you to be independent( not neutral), that is being yourself) you should not support the wrongs of your leader; however, that is the mistakes we all are doing. We are loosing our beings and submitting ourselves.

Back of your mind what you nourish is well being of our people- people of Bangladesh and that is why you will stand against the wrong decisions that goes against the general well being. And that is only good and good for our people. Often you may not be successful in your stand but be proud of yourself being a supporter of Mujib, Zia or any one else. But do not loose your esteem, your own sovereignty.

Hello Everybody,

Today is National Mourning Day.  One of the worst assassinations of human history happened this day in 1975.  Let's take a moment to pray for the souls who died on this day.

Here are some food for thought:

1.  Salt was 80 taka/kg in '74, but when Bongobondhu was killed it was 2 taka/kg

2.  Per capita international  loan in '75 was ~ 950/= and 5,000/= during Ziaur Rahman and currently it's sky high

3.  National GDP rate was 7% in '75 which was NEVER achieved later. So why was Bongobondhu killed in '75 ???????  Why NOT in '74 or in '73 or in '72 ?????  Can anybody answer ???

Thanks and best regards.
