[chottala.com] Science Fair & Picnic held on past Saturday (August 9) was a grand success. AABEA thanks & shows gratefulness to all guests, participants, & volunteers for this.

Dear our favorite community friends,

This e-mail is related to AABEA (American Association of Bangladeshi Engineers & Architects)'s Science Fair & Picnic held on last Saturday, August 9, 2008 at Lake Fairfax Park, Reston, Virginia.  The following are some facts & information we like to express to you about this program.

TO THOSE WHO WERE PRESENT & ENJOYED OUR SCIENCE FAIR & PICNIC

Thank you very much for coming to our Science Fair & Picnic held on last Saturday (August 9).  We really appreciate that you came to enjoy our program by sacrificing your valuable time.  Some of you even changed your personal plans for coming to our program.  We are grateful to you for this.  The number of guests we had was much beyond our expectation and we met our mission.  Only your presence & cooperation with us made our August 9 event very successful.

We were also very surprised to see & meet a significant number of unknown faces.  We had never seen many of our guests at any other community programs before.  In fact, we got many guests who never received any e-mail from us.  They just heard about our program from other sources.

FIRST, PLEASE LOOK AT SOME PICTURES TAKEN AT OUR AUGUST 9 ACTIVITY
Please use the following link to see some beautiful pictures taken by one of our community member, Shaila Shaikh.  Dear Shaila Shaikh, thank you very much for taking the trouble to take many wonderful pictures throughout the whole day on August 9.

APPRECIATION, ACKNOWLEDGEMENT, AND GRATEFULNESS TO ALL VOLUNTEERS

We are grateful from our inner heart to the following individuals for their significant physical help to make our August 9 program highly successful.  Without the physical help from the following persons, it was absolutely impossible for us to make our program successful.  Some of us may have been collapsed & fainted without their help.

  • Mr. Nazir Ullah from Long & Foster Realtors
  • Mr. Hosain Tauhid Alam (past president of AABEA) donated all trophies & awards for science fair participants.
  • Engineer Anwar Zaman (for doing painful "ticket diben and plate niben" work at food serving area)
  • Fahmina Rahman Muna and Farzana Musawwir Dipa (Food serving area)
  • Churri Rahman, Triti Rahman, and young engineer Misu Zaman (guest reception and donation collection)
  • Inteshar Zaman, Teyseer Ajhar, & Nizar Ajhar (for general help throughout the day)
  • Dr. Sharon Jasim-Hanif for being a judge for Science Fair (despite of her current physical condition)
JUST ACCIDENTALLY & UNINTENTIONALLY, WE MAY HAVE MISSED SOME NAMES IN THE ABOVE.  PLEASE FORGIVE US IF WE DID IT.  PLEASE LET US KNOW WHOSE NAMES WE MISSED.  WE WILL DEFINITELY RECOGNIZE THEIR NAMES IN OUR NEXT E-MAIL.
