About 30 years of teaching experience in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology of the University of Dhaka and in the Department of Molecular Genetics and Plant Breeding of Bangabandhu Sk. Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (as Adjunct Faculty).

Teaching areas: Plant Biochemistry, Plant Genetic Engineering, Plant Physiology, Molecular Biology and Molecular Genetics, Endocrinology, Biotechnology etc at undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels.

Received and implemented a Bangladesh Government grant for capacity building in promoting research in Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology.

· Genetic Engineering of Rice to Develop Flooding Tolerant High-Yielding Cultivars - funded by the Rockefeller Foundation under the International Rice Biotechnology Program and Ministry of Science and Technology (S&T), Government of Bangladesh.
