Police record murder case against Nizami

Dhaka, Jan 1 (bdnews24.com) -- Keraniganj police Tuesday recorded a freedom fighter's murder case against Jamaat-e-Islami chief Motiur Rahman Nizami and secretary general Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid and seven others.

The duty officer of Keraniganj Police Station, sub inspector Nurjahan Begum, confirmed the news to bdnews24.com Tuesday evening by phone.

Muzaffar Ahmed, Muktijoddha unit commander of Dhaka district, filed the case with the court of judicial magistrate Ashikul Khabir on Dec 17.

The court instructed the police to record the case.

Advocate Abu Muhammad Abdur Razzak, a lawyer for the plaintiff, told bdnwes24.com that the police had recorded the case in line with the court order.
