We maximum members of this forum are not actively political, may
be ideologically political.
In this critical juncture of the nation, your strenous effort to put stain
on Late President Ziaur Rahman, most probably, will prove futile. How far your
intended research on Zia providing some reference of the newspapers
will impact on the modern minds? Just impartially think, Sher-e Bangla,
H.S. Suhrawardy, Mowlana Bhashani, Sheikh Mujib, Ziaur Rahman-these revered
national leaders have occupied their own places in history. Even though the regime
of the last two are criticized for some failings and drawbacks, their influences in the
heart and mind of the millions are unfathomed.
Many thinkers, writers made their attempts in their respective political or
academic spheres, but failed to tarnish or efface the image of these great leaders.
Actually in this hour of reconstruction of the nation, illustrious sons of the country
(especially professional like you) should devote to more constructive issues for economic emancipation of the teeming millions of our dream Sonar Bangla or Jiban Bangladesh, Moron Bangladesh.
Let us not waste our valuable time of life in arousing, instigating cheap sentiment.
This is the need of the time.
