Mr, M. Amin

Nothing personal, I am just curious about what's happening!

Last time we saw Gen. Moeen U Ahmed's picture in new papers and

TV screens was around October 28th when he returned from USA

via Beijing.  May be, he was suffering from heavy jet lag, I don't

know.  *Between the end of October and Mid-November he was

defecto  blacked out by DGFI/ISPR. There were rumors, and I, as

an ordinary citizen,  was concerned:

[From internet]
I have no problem with the Bangladesh Army and it's ordinary

soilders, but I am really intrigued by the palace cliques that happens

behind the scene in the barracks. Especially, when we look at the

historical records.

We the "Ghor pora gorus, sindure megh dekhle bhoi pai" !

Gen Moeen U. Ahmed claims to be a transparency GURU. We need

to see the transparency in every respect.

I have every respect for any individual rich or poor, bhadrolok or chasha,

powerful or powerless. This does not mean that I have to salute the people

in the BIG POSTS: The Generals are appreciated for their courage, valor and

superior planning in the battle fields during a war. They don't need to self-

promote themselves [literarily].

The army can not be a vested interest group and should not behave

as such. The defense forces are part of our nation and they have

duties to do: secure our national boarders and help during natural

calamities and disasters. The Army is duty-bound for Emergency

Preparedness and Diaster Management.  The Army (as well as Air Force

and Navy)  are organized forces and paid from our National Exchequer.

A job well done is always welcome. We must remember that Bangladesh

is not a volunteer army.

Yes, I have problems with handful of careerist Army officers 's direct or

indirect participation in the political process and milibus.

A careerist army might become a seedbed for future military pustchs

and coups. But these are different issues and beyond the scope of your

current slant.

We seem to have different perspective and different point

of view on these issues. So, let us just agree or disagree,
at the least agree to disagree.
