[chottala.com] Seperation of Judicery form Civil Administration.

Separation of Judiciary from Civil administration –
Right or Wrong?

The Bangladesh is a country of 150 million inhabitants
most of the citizens are very poor of middleclass.
Although the education level is increasing but even
though we do not know the value of our voting rights.
Almost each and every person is somehow were involved
in crime or corruption to some extent in the past.
Judiciary was not away from such corruption in the
past. The question is " will they now be able to
remain impartial" ? What about their accountability?
Are they doing right or wrong? Who are there to judge
their wrong doing ? They are not angels like Khaleda
or Hashina ? It may so happen that the hidden charges
of bribe or other benefits to the Judges will increase
tremendously. My feeling is that there should be an
independent commission to oversea the verdict of
judge's hand down to the criminals. These commission
members must be former retired judges so as to compare
the judgment passed on some cases. I was fortunate to
see the interview of Barrister Rafiqul Haque at NTV
who was requested by Khaleda and Hashina to fight for
their cases at high court or Supreme Court. It is for
sure that the judges who were appointed by Khaleda or
Hashina one day will grant bail regardless of their
crime. The country will again go back to 40 years
which the general mass (99 %) do not want to see
happen again. Fighting in the streets, killing of
innocent people by rival groups, dancing on the dead
bodies. We do not want to see private or states
properties are damaged by street violence Citizens
rights are not protected.

All sorts of political parties must be banned if they
call for any sort of activities subversive to the
country such as street violence or protest or damaged
of life or state properties. The law enforcement
agencies must ensure full compliance of these
regulations.

I will request our respected caretaker government to
look for our future so as to make laws to ensure our
rights and responsibilities as a citizen. Those
responsible must pay for the activities influenced by
the Awami League and BNP or Jamat or Ershad's party
or any other political figures or party. The 150
million people of Bangladesh would like to see justice
hand down to the criminals and also the criminals are
not being protected in doing any sort of crime in
future.

Major (Ret) Rafiqul Haque
Montreal, Canada.
