আজ দেশের প্রতিথযশা সাংস্কৃতিক ব্যক্তিত্ব অধ্যাপক, নাট্যকার, অভিনেতা, নাট্য নির্দেশক ও কলামিস্ট মমতাজউদদীন আহমদের ৮০তম জন্মজয়ন্তী। বিশেষ এ দিনটিকে উদযাপন উপলক্ষে আজ সন্ধ্যা ৬টায় বাংলাদেশ শিল্পকলা একাডেমির জাতীয় নাট্যশালা মিলনায়তনে এক বিশেষ অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করা হয়েছে। অনুষ্ঠানে আহ্বায়ক রামেন্দু মজুমদারের সভাপতিত্বে অধ্যাপক মমতাজউদদীন আহমদকে সম্মান জানিয়ে বক্তব্য রাখবেন অধ্যাপক আনিসুজ্জামান, সৈয়দ শামসুল হক, রণজিৎ কুমার বিশ্বাস, আতাউর রহমান, নাসির উদ্দিন ইউসুফ, ফেরদৌসী মজুমদার, বিশ্বজিৎ ঘোষ, আলী যাকের, শামসুজ্জামান খান, কেরামত মাওলা, গোলাম কুদ্দুস, লিয়াকত আলী লাকী, ঝুনা চৌধুরী, জিয়াউল হাসান কিসলু প্রমুখ। নিজের জন্মদিন নিয়ে এমন বিশেষ আয়োজন প্রসঙ্গে মমতাজউদদীন আহমদ বলেন, 'জীবনের এ পর্যায়ে এসে এত চমৎকার এক আয়োজনের মুখোমুখি হয়ে বেশ ভালো লাগছে। আমি সবার প্রতি আন্তরিকভাবে কৃতজ্ঞ। সবাই দোয়া করবেন যেন ভালো থাকি, সুস্থ থাকি।'
