Madrassah and its Dars-e-Nizami system served its purpose for the last 10 centuries in Indopak and elsewhere in the islamic states. If todays' hollow university graduates think it is outdated, they are greatly mistaken. These madrassahs are still serving and present an alternative to the public education systems whose condition is precarious in our lands. In these madrasah system the education of modern uloom like math, science, computer are introduced and their graduates are working successfully. All that they lack is the co-operation of the university educated people who can't even bringforth workable suggestions except for their ugly criticism.
If these university graduates are screened how much Islam they know, the results are very discouraging rather disgusting. They are the victims of suspicion, not accepting the Quran-o-hadees except asking their references and thats all.
Rasoolullah Sallallaho A'laihi wa Sallam, in his khutbah in Tabook declared among other things, AL IRTIYABU MIN AL KUFR, meaning suspision is from among the kufr.
So these westernised young people unknowingly fall in the pit of kufr still to maintain they are muslims, this is not the rule though mostly observed among the contributors on this forum. They keep on writing on Islam without any feasible knowledge with miserable results.
