It's now the time of year when we get together with loved ones, celebrate, and look forward to the year ahead. Unfortunately, for so many children in Bangladesh and India, there is little to look forward to as the new school year approaches. Their families can barely afford food, much less an education, so the children are forced into exhausting and dangerous work to earn extra money instead. Thankfully, through DCI's Sun Child Sponsorship Program (SCSP), 1500 of these children are now back in school, receiving tutoring, healthcare, as well as community and family support, giving them real hope for the future.
However, as the year draws to a close, there are still many children in our project areas who are badly in need of sponsorship. Without additional support, these children will not be able to continue their education and may be forced to return to begging or hard labor. Please consider extending a hand today and bring joy to the life of a desperately needy child. Whether individually or in a group, you can transform a child's life with just $15 a month. For this small but significant amount, a child can be fed and educated for an entire month!
